It's helpful to think of meditation like training for your mind. Just like physical training, you work with yourself to refine your mental strength, speed, focus and flexibility.
Similar to physical training, sometimes the practice itself can be challenging, other times it can be fun and enjoyable. A daily or weekly meditation practice helps you to feel more resilient, patient and clear headed.
Meditation is a deeply rewarding practice, and like a garden carefully tended, it will really blossom when you give it consistent effort.
The hardest part of making small but significant improvements to your day can be staying committed, even when it feels easier to skip or put it off. Help yourself ahead of time by committing to your meditation class. You'll receive weekly encouragement and accountability from your teacher, as well as tips for continuing a daily home practice.
