I'd like to share Sinead O'Conor's video which introduces her teaching and video blogs. Sinead was my first yoga teacher and her teaching style is an influence on my own. When I first tried Sinead's classes I was immediately drawn to her deep understanding of movement and the dynamic quality that her classes had and still have. She is also a great teacher of stillness and meditation. I was delighted to be able to help her with some of these videos, which have been filmed in the South William Space, where we both teach classes. For more from Sinead see http://www.hushyoga.com/
Your body is your temple, your home that will see you through until the end, so don't forget to listen to what it has to tell you every now and again.
The first place to find freedom is right here, in our own bodies. If we can't move to our full potential aren't we neglecting our greatest instrument? So make some space in your life to move your body!
For those of us who feel too busy to go to yoga class, that's when we need it most, to just stop, breathe and be present. So even if you can't make it to class this week, take a few minutes for yourself, to stretch and then sit. Inhale, Exhale and notice any passing sensations in your body. Continue to inhale, exhale, and watch as your belly rises and falls with each passing breath. Enjoy! Just because it's simple doesn't make it easy.
